a good cry

it has been a long while.
simply because all the lil things in life are coming to haunt me altogether at once,i am incapable of anything else other than to allow the droplets flow from my tired eyes.

i was roaming around aimlessly, hoping that my guardian angel would appear and tell me what i should do next. am simply not getting anything right at the moment. a good cry was all i ever needed at that moment and yet again this time round, in the bus.

perhaps it is the many soap operas i've watched ever since my childhood days, it felt good to just look out from the moving bus, with some sad songs playing at the background, and just let it flow.

i guess the tears really did water my soul.
today, i really felt so much better.
i.just.have.to.deal.with.it.
sometimes, a good cry is all you need.

canon-in-d simply brings peace.
as always.

The Tears of Life

As she anticipated the day,
Looked forward to some random remarks made,
It was all broken; yet another empty promise.
She hates it when people don’t keep to their words.
When people give hope and shatter it in seconds.
When people say sorry and don’t even mean it.
When reality hits her that this is all it is worth.

Make no promises and nothing will be broken.
She should be happy today,
For it was the tears of life.

The tears of sorrow…
The tears of joy…

dear me, congratulations! you've finally completed the run.
with my mortarboard, i say "thank you & goodbye NUS"...

Things in life we always take for granted

Being human, we always tend to take things closest to us for granted for we assume they will always be there; people close to us- family and friends, the sunrise, the bright blue sky, the sound of wave - all the small little things among others. I dare not say I don't, for I am imperfect. Am just another being that tend to make mistakes often made my beings, but I dare say at the very least I tried to not to take people around me for granted. Close your eyes, ask yourself. Have you?

On a side note, thank you for trying, but some things are best left the way it is. Heavy heart it seems, but it really doesn’t matter anymore. Till I see you after the exams, take care.

I dreamt about grandma and I really miss her. I wonder how is she doing, if only I can ask. Your birthday is coming soon granny! Time really flies, it will soon be 7 months since you left but it feels like yesterday when I last spoke to you. We all miss you!

Yesterday was quite a night spent catching up with some close friends despite the initial plan to spend my time with my important date, my polymer textbook. Yes friends, I finally managed to disabled the autoplay on the playlist. To miss B, I am a proud friend of you for I have seen how hard you fought for what you believed in. It will soon be over and things will be alright, just remember that we will always be there if you need us! And my old old friend, OWP! Thanks for entertaining me with the story of your first love. Just remember don’t break more hearts!
This is for you!

sometimes...
we’d never know what's wrong without the pain...
sometimes the hardest thing and the right thing are the same

Reading this makes my day http://wise-one.blogspot.com/
Updates on Sage’s recovery from the liver transplant. This Christmas boy and his uncle, Kelvin (opps!) sure did inspire me in some ways.

And now, Macs breakfast and polymers for the day!
Good SUNday all!

April 5, 2009

As much as I wanted to be home this very weekend, all the piling project deadlines won the battle. I miss home, and I thought I can make it back in time for QingMing yesterday morning. I miss granny, really do. I just hope I can find sometime soon enough to make a trip home before reading week starts. Take care all! :)

Had a long but fruitful day yesterday; Two project meetings back to back from 9 am till 5 pm.Woohoo! And a good break after that too! Visited Kelvin and his nephew in the hospital after that. The surgery for liver transplant was this morning, and I hope all went well.

The 3-year-old is such an adorable boy, I feel for him for having to go through such pain at such a young age. Am proud of you my friend, for you will be making all the difference in this boy’s life! He will soon be able to eat ice cream!

Seeing the hope of a mother, the patience of the father, the love from people around him, there is indeed so much more to life, so much. I will say a lil prayer for you, definitely will.

I had good stuff to fill up my stomach soon after that too!
And a good walk by the seaside to wrap-up the day…
Thanks dearest roomie for the ride and the good food!

Food for thought of the day:
Have you done enough to make a difference in your life and others? What is it about making a difference? It is really not about being a super hero or about donating a big amount of money. It’s all the small lil things, small lil gesture that comes with great love that counts. Even a simple smile will make all the difference. Reach out, touch more hearts… :)

Thank god I read the news on time to keep myself updated that the PM transition in Malaysia is about to start. I mean, how could I miss such a big news right? Just that I haven’t got time to keep myself updated with news. I know its bad, but I will try to make it an effort. And so, the 6th Prime Minister of Malaysia will be sworn in later today at 10.00am. Some people says the new chapter of Malaysia is about to start. Will it be new afterall? Tough times ahead for the new PM, will he make it or break it? Definitely hoping for the better, keeping my fingers crossed.(will ISA detain me for writing this?)

It’s really time to move on. For the past is over, and all we can do is to look forward and aim and hope for better things. For greater things in life. Life is short, really…

You are stronger than you think you are.
You are.

Thank god for music, chocolates, caffeine and strawberry-banana milkshake...
It keeps me sane... :)

February 28, 2009

It has been awhile and the bad habit of writing emo stuff is coming back. I cant help it, it is all coming back to me now that I am starting to lose track of myself. Honestly, sometimes I really feel like chopping you into pieces for bringing out all these ugly sides of me.

With expectations, come disappointments and so when some people just don’t make it up to my expectation, I get real disappointed. I get real frustrated when people that matters just don’t give a damn about things I care about. I am learning my way, to think and make decisions with an open heart. I am trying…

Action speaks louder than words. Oh well, easier said than done.
Everyone talks about it but how many actually mean their words, useless piece of shit!

By the way, lets clap for the biggest fool on earth!
Wake up your idea you, it's time to wake up!

Pondering Over: The Way I Loved You, Taylor Swift

He is sensible and so incredible
And all my single friends are jealous
He says everything I need to hear and it's like
I couldn't ask for anything better
He opens up my door and I get into his car
And he says you look beautiful tonight
And I feel perfectly fine

But I miss screaming and fighting and kissing in the rain
And it's 2am and I'm cursing your name
You're so in love that you act insane
And that's the way I loved you
Breakin' down and coming undone
It's a roller coaster kinda rush
And I never knew I could feel that much
And that's the way I loved you

He respects my space
And never makes me wait
And he calls exactly when he says he will
He's close to my mother
Talks business with my father
He's charming and endearing
And I'm comfortable

But I miss screaming and fighting and kissing in the rain
And it's 2am and I'm cursing your name
You're so in love that you act insane
And that's the way I loved you
Breakin' down and coming undone
It's a roller coaster kinda rush
And I never knew I could feel that much
And that's the way I loved you

He can't see the smile I'm faking
And my heart's not breaking
Cause I'm not feeling anything at all
And you were wild and crazy
Just so frustrating intoxicating
Complicated, got away by some mistake and now

I miss screaming and fighting and kissing in the rain
It's 2am and I'm cursing your name
I'm so in love that I acted insane
And that's the way I loved you
Breaking down and coming undone
It's a roller coaster kinda rush
And I never knew I could feel that much
And that's the way I loved you oh, oh

And that's the way I loved you oh, oh
Never knew I could feel that much
And that's the way I loved you

in loving memory...

i remember posted a picture here, the one with her when we last went sailing together...
that was september 2006... two years ago...
i came to know about her sickness one week ago...
and we have lost her now...
i may not be close to her, but i feel the loss too....

life is indeed fragile, full of unknowns and surprises...
people says things happen for a reason...
experiences make us grow...
i guess in one way or another, it will make people appreciate people around better
not to take your loved ones for granted...
live everyday to the fullest...

it reminded me of this great great lady in my life...

we lost her a week ago...
a great lady whom i really respect for all that she has done for the family
how well she had brought up all her children to become wonderful individuals they are today
i am as always amazed by how the family functions as everyone just knows when to fit in to support and complement one another in any occassion...
am really a proud member of the family...
a simple yet great lady, you inspired me...
i will hold on to all these values you taught me...

and life goes on.....
but you will always be remembered...

October 10, 2008

it has been quite a day and i finally cried. simply cant bring myself to do any other things. the wait to be home is long this time. mixed feelings, as much as I want to be home to give my parents a big big hug, i dont want to be home for this very reason.

dear granny, may you rest in peace...
you will be deeply missed for we've loss a wonderful respectable lady.
and time is still passing by so slowly.

and the evening in the hospital makes me think.
the place is such a meaningful place after all, but people dont talk about it.

a place filled with pain, sorrow, disappointment yet full of love, hope and joy...
a place to witness what life is all about...
