Post SV Study Trip - Travel USA!
Napa Valley - 31st July 08

the road trip!

Lake Tahoe - 1st Aug 2008
the drive was awesome, although tiring...
beautiful beautiful and again beautiful place...
no words could describe how serene and breathtaking the beaches were...
when we were just so near to the stars...

Death Valley! - enroute to Vegas
another wonderful chapter of the trip...
the drive was crazily hot but it rocks! (with alot of rocks around, hah!)
temperature went up to about 50 plus celcius, imagine!
we were driving without the AC on, for fear of heating up the car....
desert looking place, hot and dry but its BEAUTIFUL!

Las VEGAS (the city that never sleeps!)
(2nd-4th Aug)
and finally, we have reached, LAS VEGAS!
casino + gambling, buffet, shopping, club, drinking, theatre, picture taking....
all checked!

Los Angeles (4th-7th Aug)
and the final destination before we part ways...LA!

LA was abit below expectation though, the downtown LA was practically dead about 7 pm...
area around hollywood and disney were relatively ok...
no disneyland cause we arrived a lil later, universal studios was slightly below expectations...
but the studio tour was awesome!
met up with emma and she brought us round for abit around the hollywood area...
stayed with her for a night before i left for NYC...
it has been great meeting up with you emma!
thank you for bringing us round and for taking care of me!
take care there, hope to see you real soon!

universal studios!

me at the Newport Beach!

Emma and I rolling on the grass in USC!

New York: 8th - 11th Aug 08
After all the trouble, finally stepped my foot on the ground of New York!
Thankful that everything fall into place somehow despite the hesitations and very last minute confirmation, many thanks to ghimhui and george who have been taking care of the homeless me or i could have ended up like the homeless along the road.....
its kind of true when my friend said, you havent been to US if you havent been to NYC!
its just different as compared to the westcoast...
where you really see the city, the settings which are so familiar to the ones you see in movies and the culture, the people, of course the museums!
places like the Wall Street, WTC - ground zero, Statue of Liberty, Times Square, Manhattan, Broadway...blablabla... you name it!
met up with vjliew and friends there too...
newyork has been great despite some disappointment...
i will never forget the night when they decided to change the subway services and how i got lost, how i got so frustrated with myself for not getting the right direction again and again... the journey back all alone late at night in the foreign place... and the shifting of room in the middle of the night...
that was my first night in newyork...

Times Square!

bye bye US! it has been a great great trip~!!!
finally 'the american dream' come true... =)
till we meet again...
